Excellent from start to finish. We hired the Vivaro conversion and spent the weekend in the Peak District (2 adults, 2 children). The initial hire process and collection was seem less. Stuart was fantastic during the handover! The van was well-equipped and drove very smoothly. The camping chairs and camping table were very much appreciated - a really lovely extra provided at no cost! We all slept well, including our youngest and most discerning 😂! Overall, a 10/10 experience that we will be sure to repeat. Dan, Laura, Darcy and Hattie.

We had the campervan booked for us as a wedding gift from my mother in law.Where to start.. probably at the start.Easy to book and a convenient online booking in system for documentation.Checking out the van with an in depth explanation of everything to know about the space and driving the van.Pulling off the van was easy to drive with surprisingly light power steering and a great automatic gearbox. We traveled as much of the south west as we could manage, it never struggled on the hills, the reversing camera was crystal clear and also functioned as a rear view mirror when needed (motorways).The camper was well lit with good heating and an easy management system just by the door. The sleeping area was comfortable and the views were out of this world (we did pick the parking spaces though). Returning the van was easy and deposit returned promptly.Great guys and would definitely hire again. Thanks for everything.

We hired the Carado Wayfarer 2 Berth Campervan which was perfect for us. The hand over by Stewart was good and informative as this was out first time away in a camper van. The van was easy to drive as an automatic and one less thing to think about.Had a really enjoyable week away and would highly recommend Explorze as the place to go to hire!!

My wife and I hired the Carado campervan over the New Year weekend to get away with the dogs. This is the second time we have hired one of Explore Campervans and both times the Vans have been great.We did the North Wales coast this time and the west coast of Scotland and inner Hebrides for a week last summer.The communications were excellent, hand over was seamless with friendly and knowledgeable staff.I would 100% recommend these guys for campervan hire.Thanks Ian an team - see you again soon.Julian

Highly recommended company.We rented the Fiat Ducato from Friday to Friday to travel the North Coast 500 and what a perfect trip it turned out to be We headed to Inverness and started our journey clockwise and went through all the beautiful Scottish towns and villages and ended up back in Inverness in six days later and sadly back home on the last day.The van we rented was a four berth but it was just my wife and I so it was more than sufficient for our needs. It’s a nice big van with ample space for storing cutlery, food, clothes and anything else you are likely to take with you. We kept the bed ready assembled and ready to sleep in when we rocked up at a campsite or just decided to wild camp so this was a big bonus and having a toilet in the van was the best thing EVER!.As for using the van, its straightforward to use being an automatic and with reverse parking cameras this made manoeuvring so much more easier and its got great pick up at traffic lights and on the motorway.I would definitely recommend this company as we will be using this company again for another road trip we have planned near winter.If its your first time, make sure you read all the information on the website thoroughly and ask any questions before you depart because it can be daunting if you’ve never owned a Motorhome/caravan or done this type of trip.If I had to do the same trip again, I would make sure I carry 5-10 litres of ad-blue with me as we almost ran dry having done over a thousand miles by the time we returned the vehicle and remove anything from the van that you may not need/use like tables, chairs ladders just to lighten the load.And finally, the staff and owners are really helpful and very passionate about the business so you really cant go wrong hiring from them. If they didn’t do rentals we probably wouldn’t have done the NC500 so many thanks boys!!See you soonKrish

Had a fantastic weekend at the British Grand Prix, we hired the Renault camper for the weekend it was plenty big enough for 3 lads and was equipped with everything we needed to survive the weekend.Sam,s service was very professional and nothing to much trouble everything was demonstrated and explained how everything worked. We hired the carado camper for 2 weeks in June to complete Scotlands Nc500 & Isle of Skye. We took advantage of the unlimited miles Explorze offers as we completed nearly 2000 miles in total which some companies have a mileage cap.The van was clean and had everything we needed for our trip.We have 2 cocker spaniels and they where able to come with us which made the holiday even more special to us.We would definitely recommend Explorze to all of our family and friends, staff were always on hand to answer and questions before or during the trip and we’re always friendly. We will definitely be biking again with Explorze. 😄

The service from Explorze Campervan Hire was exceptional. I contacted them in a crisis as the Motorhome we were using for Glastonbury from another provider had a mechanical issue on the day we were due to take it. Adam and Sam were first class and did everything possible to get us on the road that day. Van was modern, great and good value. Thank you for saving our trip to Glastonbury. I hate camping. Always have. I grew up in a semi rural area with mountains on all sides and I still hated it. So when a mate wanted to have her 40th Birthday Party at a remote campsite in North Wales I was horrified. I wasn't going to go until someone said 'hire a campervan'. I found explorze as I wanted to hire from somewhere mid way between London and Snowdonia. I hired the Hymer Voyager (4 Berth) who we christened Lady Carlotta Van der Camp. She was excellent , I mean just brilliant:1 - The table stays a table, don't have to make the table a bed. Brilliant2 - It is spacious admittedly we were only 2 not 4 but there's plenty of room.3 - The biggest car I've driven is a DS3 so I was bricking it when I picked the van up, but she handles beautifully (the handbrake needs to go DOWN not just down) and after about 15 minutes I felt like I'd driven nothing else my adult life.4 - My old nemesis the M6 had multiple accidents causing us to be close to 2 hours late (not funny on a very sunny Friday) but Adam was a lesson in calm professionalism and gave a thorough walk around of the van - and I was allowed to leave my car on site for the weekend.5 - You can cook a good full English on the hobs, which I did. The fridge is a good size for a few days food.6 - Final and best point. When the roof pops up forming a shape like a cheese wedge there is a lovely king size memory foam mattress which forms a separate bedroom. You can attach a small ladder to access or prove your manliness by lifting yourself in with nothing but arms strength. I used the ladder. It's comfortable, cosy, warm and a little romantic as you can open sections to look out (there is a bug net). It provided a much better nights sleep than I expected, total quality.Couple of things that may be useful - The Van comes with nothing in it in terms of Crockery, Cutlery etc. In all fairness Explorze website does mention this in one section but in another just says there's no bedding. Thankfully we stopped to buy groceries and being a glutton I bought ice cream for then and there, when I went looking for a spoon we realised the situation, if we'd found this out in North Wales we would have been up the creek - so maybe the confirmation emails could spell this out or it made prominent on the website and remove the confusing one. Also the handover is a lot of information and laminated crib sheet may be of use as I had not heard or misheard where the hook up cable was kept - it's a bit of a secret hidey hole so had to buy one - which is now on ebay.However these two points are minor, I would not hesitate to book again with Explorze and I will, because thanks to Lady Carlotta van der Camp I am now a fan of camping, who'd of thunk it?

I cannot rate this company more than a 5 but I would if I could. We had a problem with the original booking and Adam sorted it out with no fuss at all. The service from start to finish was excellent and we just loved the Carado. It was beautifully presented and had all the features we could ever want in a camper van. This is a business that actually cares about its customers and their experiences and I would advise anyone looking for a camper van to look no further.

just got back from a 5 night stay in the corada.. we had an amazing time. on arrival Sam showed us around and showed us how everything worked etc. very spacious for the 2 of us and comfortable. we will definitely hire it again in the future and highly recommend anyone to hire it too. 5 stars from us..

Rented a camper from Custom Campers for a 10 day trip to Scotland. The van was absolutely perfect and had everything we needed was super comfortable and convenient. Communication throughout was excellent and made the whole process really easy and picking up/dropping off the van was super easy.
